Community Reinvestment Act

Georgia Community Bank

The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and its implementing regulations are intended to encourage banks to help meet the credit needs of their local communities, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, consistent with the safe and sound operation of the institution. The penalties for noncompliance include restrictions on the ability of the bank to expand the scope of its business, possible civil money penalties, and damaged public reputation.

The board of directors, management, and staff of Georgia Community Bank are strongly committed to meeting the spirit of the Community Reinvestment Act. It is the policy of this bank to make every reasonable attempt to satisfy the credit needs of low- to moderate-income people within the bank’s CRA delineated assessment area.
